Images flash across my mind representing ideas and concepts that words cannot encompass, striking deep into my consciousness with meaning. All cultures create symbols that represent meaningful understanding. In the Eye of Horus series, representing the four elements, I have used images that have meaning for me from this life and other cultures and times that I have experienced through past life regression and meditation.

A soul's path
What emerged after whitewashing a large older painted canvas, was an aerial view of an island. Grid lines further enhanced this illusion and there began an adventure using images representing my life beginnings through potentials, interests, dreams and aspirations. Included are quotations found in magazines written by other artists. I especially love the quote about beauty by the feather artist Eric Charles-Donatien: "Beauty is never enough. Meaning is more important. If something catches people's eyes long enough to make them move around it, they will build a story around it. And that will not just be about beauty." The story... perhaps filled with childhood memories, aspirations or clues to past lives. 54'' x 65''
